. Developed processes and procedures for application to transfer Data

and Applications from AS400 to RS6000, using EDI techniques, and

Football Association (FA) - UK (Football)

. Designed a software solution for the Football Associations (FA) youth

training program to help identify and prevent child abuse on its

courses.

Stadco - UK (Automotive 5,000+)

. Developed a web based application that would interface with green

screen applications and allow remote access over the internet, at the

same time enhancements could be made to screens allowing for

additional data to be stored and reported on at no cost to the

company.

. In addition the application had the added benefit of smart logon,

which effectively increased the user licences by 10 fold.

Novartis - UK/Switzerland (Pharmaceutical 10,000+)

. Used my extensive knowledge of AS400 and DB2 to create an innovative

solution the Y2K issue, by using the spare bit held in the 7bit date

field as a flag for 1900 or 2000, and customised DB2 to acknowledge

the change as a system wide feature

. Designed and developed and implemented an application that would

control the chemical vats usage and maintenance cycle so as to prevent

accidents that may occur if previous chemicals would interact in a

harmful way with the next batch.

. Used my knowledge of Mainframes and Terminals to create an interface

that would read the screen information and send it to a spread sheet

for analysis purposes.

Sky TV - UK (Media 5,000+)

. Designed the control mechanism used in all modern satellite TV systems

for 2 way communication between viewer and provider that allows the

menu system to be interactive.

Financial Time (FT) - UK (Media 5,000+)

. Managed the transition of data and applications from there IBM system

38 to a PC based solution, using the Magic development platform, which

is both Platform and Database independent.

. Single handily provided Y2K support for the Electronics Giant Philips,
