For AT&T, New Jersey:

Lead the team for Technical Architecture for a Web based [OLTP] project called UNAD. UNAD, which was the first network provisioning software over the internet in states, ran against 8i and used Oracle applications server (4.0.7.1) and reports server (6.0) for its launch. Created and maintained development dB, test dB and production dB, the application server and created the reports server for different groups. The responsibilities included maintenance of application and reports server, creating templates for API’s, reports and HTML scripts, writing specifications for owner management, network provisioning, forecast and cma, and, writing code for certain modules.

The project had various modules – Network provisioning, c&ma, forecasting and owner management. The system deals with forecasting of cable systems, provisioning network elements and management of owners like ITSC, OSWF, NA and single or joint owners.

The client for the plants was Kraft foods. All the plants had equipment and code

The front end used was Rs/View,Rs/Sql and Rs/Linx. The back end was oracle 8.0.5.

For the AVON plant [which is essentially a weigh system], sends weigh data from the

PLC units to the Oracle database through Rs/View and Rs/Sql. This system is capable

of sending nearly 1000 records every 90 seconds.

This data instance is the application database instance.

Every four hours a cron job runs at the Unix four and transfers the data for the previous

four hour period to another different schema [called MES repository] through Pl/sql where

data is stored for certain amount of time.

The data transfer between the front end [RS/View] and the oracle db was done through

Rs/Sql and Net OCI.

The reports were done in business objects and integrated with the front end.

• For Lucent Technologies, IL:

Conversion Strategy, estimation and Conversion Approach for their current system.

• For National Ins., Columbus, Ohio:

Supported the data modeling team in designer 2000. Created standards for Business Process, Logical design and Database design in Designer 2000. Created Process modeling diagrams and ERD for their forthcoming projects.

Responsibilities include requirements analysis; project planning, management and database design. The project was to build a financial DSS system for various levels of management in the organization using Oracle Financial Analyzer 6.0.1.1 and Oracle Express Server 6.1.0.1.2 that will ensure data integrity, analysis and forecasting.

• For Oracle Corporation, Los Angeles:

Assisted in the development of extensions to the Enterprise Data Management [EDMS] software package that is marketed by Oracle Services. The extensions analyze PL/SQL, Pro*C, and Forms 2.3, 3.0, 4.0, and 4.5 code for year 2000 issues. The development environment was Designer 2000, Pro*C and forms 4.5 on Windows 95 and NT.

This project was an impact analysis tool creation, which analyses a form build in

Oracle forms 2.3,3.0,4.0 and 4.5 and stores the form control variables, base variables,

Pl/Sql variables and Stored procedure variables [which has Date Format] in the Designer/2000 Repository.

An API report was created to access the tables and views of the Designer/2000 and

give them in a tabular format.

• For NorthWestern Mutual Life, Milwaukee, WI:

Lead a team for Individual Life [Insurance] Custom Development and supported other teams [Group and Premiums].

Designed and Created 9 forms and 5000 lines of code of Pl/Sql, which involved Oracle, Sybase and Mainframe Databases. Day-to-day DBA activities were performed.

The main form ‘NBIENTRY’ - which is the app entry, had 18 canvases and had a reference of nearly 6 other forms. A user can enter the app entry screen through the launch screen, [a common screen for all the entire app], which assigns an individual contract for a particular group contract.

The form was built against 2 sets of views. Before validation of data, the user can

come through one set of tables and after validation they can come through another set of tables.

This was done because the client had data in Oracle [normalized and non-normalized tables] and in Sybase [normalized data tables]. For this variation, private synonyms were used to switch the data back and forth. Private synonyms will be created at runtime for that particular schema. Hence only one set of blocks was created in the forms for both variations.

The user can enter the app [which is saved and updated in both oracle and Sybase

Databases through ‘OMNI’]. There are nearly 100 business [screen] rules against the entries.

Once the app is entered and saved by the user, they can validate the entered data.

Once the user has validated his data, lifecycles, created by an insurance product

called ‘AMARTA’, will be started immediately from the Unix server.

After couple of automatic tasks , the user can once again enter the same app entry [now with a Different set of tables] and make corrections or additions to his entry. There are around 200-250 Business backend business rules that check the entry at the automatic task level. If there is any error, errors are captured and displayed once the user comes back to the entry point.

In all there are around 12 automatic tasks and 10 manual tasks. 5 different forms were

created for the manual tasks.

Helped creating backend business rules and scheduler reports.

• For Global Lead Tracking Team, Oracle Corporation, San Francisco:

Created functional and technical methods using CDM and AIM techniques for the team of developers And designers. Created and modified three forms in Forms 3.0.

The existing system, which was used for the marketing and sales purpose, had to be modified Due to unformatted loop. Created different canvases for relocation of nodes, which included both parent and child entries.

Responsibilities include system architecture and data modeling, managing the product development team. System also included Discoverer 3.1, Designer 2 and Express Server 6.2.

For Guarantee Life Insurance Co, Omaha.

Maintained day-to-day DBA activities.

Developed Life Insurance - RGO System [Custom Development]. This application processed insurance true products like dental, ltd, life, wi and voluntary products for life, dental, ltd and wi. Created 15,000 lines of code in stored procedures, packages and database triggers for a present system of insurance coverage. Created and converted 150 forms under Forms 4.5.7 and also created 45 reports under Reports 2.5.5, which will launch the entire RGO system under Windows. The regional offices (Houston, Kansas and Dallas) were connected to the head office using the direct connect and frame relay, and successfully implemented the application, which resided in the 3-tier setup of the server (of the head office) available.

Created 14 Proposal reports, which are called from the forms depending on the coverage and ratings the user selected. These reports can be proposed or re-proposed by Underwriters or brokers. The system will allow only the underwriter to edit the proposed reports and the other users can just view the reports. The system allows the user to print, fax, e-mail and save as a web [.htm or .pdf format].

For John Deere, Iowa.

Maintained day-to-day DBA activities.

Converted from SQL*Forms 3.0 to Forms 4.5 and created 90 Forms and 8 reports for the John Deere Production floor department. As part of the conversion, I created 4000 lines of Procedures for a maintenance code, which runs on a daily basis. This application was successfully implemented for Windows95, Sun Solaris 2.5 and Mac System Operating systems.

For Expansion Systems, LA.

Maintained day-to-day DBA activities.

Implemented an Internet Order Entry Service System. This system was designed for IDT, US and Videotron, Canada, which provide internet services. This system takes orders from customers in the order entry, which includes all the information including credit card number. The credit card information is then sent to the bank for authorization through a daemon. The Customer Service interface module also accesses a customer's information through customer service, which had access level controls, billing, tax exemption, resources, subscriber credit, email resources, account notes, provisions for canceling, suspending and reinstating of an account. Created templates for the entire system, 11 forms and 7 reports using Developer/2000, Designer/2000 and Reports 2.5.

Developed a Training System for banks to train their employees for various customized courses. System consisted of 24 forms and 8 reports. This system helps the user to customize employee training information, report their need using different select criteria and parameters. This system also helps the user to select and print confidential reports (single or batch) based on their security permission they have.

Implementation of inventory, order entry, purchasing, GL, AR and custom modules. Designed and custom developed modules in the Cellular Billing System. This fully integrated package has features like Customer Registration, rating/billing of customer calls, customer payments, allocation of various features/facilities to customers, leasing of equipment's to customers etc. This is developed using GUI standards. It has interfaces to the Oracle Inventory, Purchasing, General Ledger and Accounts Payable modules. Was also in-charge of designing and developing the prototype for the Master maintenance module screens along with involvement in Quality assurance and documentation of standards. Designed and developed 42 forms and 14 reports, which also included the invoice processing, purchasing, accounts payments, customers payments, installment records, mode of payments, customer preferences and calling plan details. This system was originally written for Unix users. Since the product was a very big success, the entire product was converted to Mac, Windows and OS/2 environments.

Maintained day-to-day DBA activities.

Was a DBA in development of a Banking System. This system was basically developed for banks-loan department and credit card services. The system also had on-line daemon process services and loan status. This system also had registration of the loans through the process. The System was developed to monitor the activities like receiving and processing of loan applications, monthly/bimonthly recovery of loans, generation of various reports and documenting all the activities and tracking the process.

Designed and developed a payroll system for major government institutions which takes care of all payroll information including tax, paid vacation, holidays, advances etc. This system was successfully implemented for 3 major state government departments in India.

Designed and developed a Shipping System, which covers a line of activities like registrations, details, taxation, transportation, invoicing and other related activities like payment procedures, reminders etc. This system covers Order Entry, Issue of work orders, Generation of Pre & Post Shipment Documents, payments, post - export documentation etc.
