Fall 2005—Spring 2006 Substitute Teacher for Boise School District. I also taught writing on the internet on a free lance basis.
1980—2004 Agency Manager in Chickasha, Ok for The Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Managed the distribution and delivery of newspapers in Chickasha area, both racks and retail dealers and home delivery. Filled in whenever a carrier could not deliver their route. Kept all records of subscribers and retail dealers, collected money and paid Oklahoma City office once a month for newspaper bill, sometimes as much as 7,000 dollars. In 24 years I was never even a day late paying bill. I am an experienced computer user with two new computers in my home.
At the same time as I fulfilled the obligations of my job I also pursued a writing career and became a published author. In 2004, my book Indiahoma (Stories Of Blues And Blessings) was published . I have built up a small but enthusiastic international following. Moved to Boise the summer of 2005. My story “All The Way To Grangeville” finished second in the Million Writers Award for fiction.
I have been married to my wife, Rita for 40 years. She currently teaches English at
Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. She has been a teacher for over 30 years. We have two grown sons who live only minutes away.
