Qualifications
I am a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and California State University of Los Angeles and have obtained a Master’s and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. My g.p.a. was 3.5 with honors. I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau. I hold an NP and an RN license in California. I currently work for the County of Los Angeles in the Employee Health Department and oversee the health clearances of all employees including but not limited to the staff at LAC + USC, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Department of Public Health and various county clinics/comprehensive centers. I have worked in a 29 bed level 2 trauma center, which has given me the tools to work with all patient populations. I am detail oriented and a fast learner. I am able to communicate therapeutically with my supervisors, peers, and patients. I am knowledgeable on multicultural communities especially border communities. Most importantly I strive to keep my patient’s/client’s informed, knowledgeable and comfortable throughout their experience.
