Welder 03/1972 – 08/1980; General Dynamics; Quincy, MA; Supervisor: John Kirksey. Performed basic duties of a welder in all positions, making

welds that would withstand the pressure of vibrations of Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers. (LNG). Welded pipe and structural steel of varied

thickness, which requires non-distractive testing with a 95% success rate. During eight years with General Dynamics I performed welds in

all areas of the ship and shipyard in a manner commendable for the trade. Responsible for butts, bulk heads and seam welding which

requires 100% non-destructive examination. Welded pipe utilizing stick and short arc welding techniques. Experience in the use of the

following techniques: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Core Arc

Welding (FCAW) and Oxyacetylene Welding (OW). Additionally I produced Air Carbon Arc Cutting on different areas of defective welded joints
