My qualifications are 20+ years industry experience as a Graphic Designer/Preflight Specialist with proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and QuarkXpress for Mac and PC platforms with an in depth knowledge of Macintosh OSX. I can create and work in a PDF Environment, including PDFX1A and low-res proofing. I have excellent design abilities and fresh, innovative ideas in keeping with current trends, along with strong scanning knowledge and able to use FTP software such as FETCH for the Mac. I can work in extremely high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and have above average problem solving and communication skills. I am highly organized and able to follow procedures with excellent attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly and easily to any circumstances or crisis that may arise.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proficient in the latest versions of computer design programs such as QuarkXPress,

Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Adobe Acrobat and Pitstop,

Power Point, Excell, and Microsoft Word.

• Extensive knowledge in the use of color trapping, color correction, and pre-flighting of

customer supplied artwork using Preflight Flightheck Pro. Creating digital files for direct

to plate output using the Rampage and Prinergy, and Preps operating systems.

• Able to troubleshoot and repair any problems that may arise before the job goes to press

to ensure a smooth workflow and less wasted time. Able to relate with the customer to

ensure a quality product that satisfies the customer in the shortest and easiest amount of

time.

• Knowledge of the Docutech Splash 100 color printing system.

• Can troubleshoot and repair Macintosh computer systems in minimal amount of time to

help avoid “Down Time” and wasted man hours. I am Mac Certified.

• I have held US Government Secret, Confidential, NATO and SEATO clearances.
