Dryer Rope Stretcher - Tail Threading

This first project involved deep study of operation, complete modeling, detailing in Catia V5, BOM in PDM, Auric drawing conversion and FBDI in VPM. Off-shore team co-ordination for overall project with thorough checking made this project successful, which in turns provided the opportunity for next 16 similar projects. Environment: Catia V5, PDM, Auric & Enovia VPM

Former Dewatering Components – Parametric Modeling

Parametric modeling reduces time for project work to 1/10th from actual. After success from project work, this master modeling is initiated. This project involved complete study from previous projects, modeling with required parameters, detailing in Catia V5 & VPM, BOM in PDM, Auric drawing creation. Success from this project provided opening for more similar projects.

Conventional Sym Roll – Parametric Modeling

Enterprise is an oxidizer model used in high temperature & high volume areas. This project consists of complete modeling, detailing in Inventor 10 as per ANSI standards and developed BOM in Oracle ERP to support manufacturing.

#1 Design & development of Epsilon, Enterprise & Cleanswitch Oxidizer

The scope of work included with new development of AutoCAD drawings into Inventor Parametric Models, analyzing the previous design problems, adopting new design changes, co-ordination with client for design issues, delivery, detailing in Inventor for oxidizers as per ANSI standards.

#2 Modification of Calender Section

This project adopts the new design to eliminate the previous problem called “Barring” in paper machine Calender section. The problem is avoided thru the innovation of Eccentric Pin Design in King Roll of Calender. Lot of study included in this project with different calculations done for bearing selection, stress & deflection, motor power, Bellow selection to achieve the target of 600 mpm speed with a pope deckle of 5800 mm.

#3 New Calender Assembly

This is total new paper machine project involves the new design & development of Calender section. This is one of the biggest project done in India of its kind with 6 rolls with a speed of 550 mpm with deckle of 5350 mm. The King Roll of this Calender is imported from Kusters, Germany. Bill of Material is created with the new SAP software.

#4 New Dryer Section

The scope of this project consists of 30 Pre Drying Cylinders & 24 Post Drying Cylinders along with all accessories for PM4. We have done this project with proper schedule & tidy design to accommodate in existing site. After installation, PM4 machine runs with maximum efficiency of 96% dryness. This project includes the modeling in Inventor, detailing in AutoCAD of all drying cylinders, doctors, felt rolls, stretcher rolls with calculations for material selection, bearing, drives, pneumatic cylinders, etc., This machine consists of the biggest drying cylinders of 1.6 mtr in diameter.

#5 Renovation of Press Section

This is a full machine renovation project of 350 MPM speed with pope deckle of 2800 mm. South India Paper Mills is very much satisfied after the desired output achieved because of the existing press section replaced with this new press section. The actual output is around 21% of dryness. This project was having the models of heavy fabrication of structural frames, rolls, drives, pneumatic cylinders, skf bearings, etc., All the parts are done in Ideas to check the interference, manufacturing possibility, assembly.

Some more projects also had done in Wire Part, Press, Calender & Pope Section for clients Murli Agro, Delta Paper Mills, JK, SPB, Satia Paper Mills.
