• Actively involved in the academic activities of the Senior Residents and Training them for Masters Program, the Junior Residents and the Interns posted in the Department.
• Involved in the purchase, maintenance and upkeep of the equipment in the Department.
• Two operating rooms and a twelve bedded state-of-the-art Post Operative ICU.
• Performed over 100 operations comprising of Coronary bypass surgery, valve replacements both single and double with and without tricuspid repair and congenital operations (ASD Repair, VSD Repair, Lung Procedures).
• Bypass surgeries done both on pump (12) assisted as well as off pump CABG (05) assisted .
• Mitral Valves Replacement 30 and aortic valves (08). Double valve replacements were (01) and combined procedures with tricuspid repairs out of all these were (07).
• Congenital Repairs: Performed (28) ASD Repairs, (03) VSD repairs and (2) Tetralogy of Fallots'.
• Performed over 10 CMV procedures and almost 20 PDA ligations.
• Remaining cases comprise of Thymectomy, Pneumonectomy, lobectomy, Vascular repairs for trauma as well as acute and chronic obstruction.
• Patients are mostly NYHA Class III or IV .
• Management of critically ill cardiac patients both pre as well as post operatively.

• Performed two independent coronary bypass procedures, four ASD repairs, a single VSD repair and a PDA closure.
• Coronary procedures in about a thousand cases I performed all the proximal anastomosis and routinely helped in harvesting the mammary arteries, the radial artery and saphenous vein grafts
• Put the patients on bypass before arrival of the Senior Surgeon and all sternal closures were done by me.
