In the role of business analyst/project manager constructed an overall strategy to build a corporate university. CARITAS CHRISTI HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

In an online curriculum developer role, created an online suite of training for the Kronos Workforce Timekeeper application for all six hospitals at Caritas Christi. Conducted training needs analysis and created customized storyboards and developed the online training module with Captivate 5. This included simulations.

THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC

Learning Development/Training Lead for a SalesForce.com sales lead implementation for the sales and marketing organizations. Conducted training needs analysis and developed a suite of virtual and online training for different user roles. NYPRO, INC.

Acting in the capacity of Project Manager/Business Analyst/ E-Learning Developer for the HR department the following services were provided:

• Performed a Training Needs Analysis.

• Worked with the HR Team to develop a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account training module for their national employee base. This online training module introduced the new FSA program and provided a consistent and coherent message to their many manufacturing sites across the United States. This was developed in Captivate.

• Developed storyboards, scripts in Spanish and English as well as recording associated audio. Using Audacity and Wavepad software for audio.

DANA FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE, DIV. OF DEVELOPMENT AND THE JIMMY FUND

Acting in the capacity of Business Analyst/Online Instructional Designer, the following services were provided to create an Intranet site for an internal organization at the Jimmy Fund:

• Developed new e-learning training module for an internal application using Adobe Captivate. This resulted in a reduction of staff time spent on supporting the application.

• Delivered onsite training to the DFCI IT staff on how to use the Macromedia Captivate product.

STRATUS COMPUTER INC, Maynard, MA 10/98-07/00

DIRECTOR OF IS APPLICATIONS

Established the direction of and led the applications development group within the IS Organization for all of Stratus. This included the HR, Manufacturing, Finance, sales and Marketing departments. Part of my charter was to ensure a clear strategic direction within IS that closely aligned and supported the company’s vision.

Achievements included:

During 1999, I guided my group through Ascend, Inc. acquiring Stratus, divesting into a new company, a move of corporate headquarters and Y2K testing in less than a year with half of my original staff.

Negotiated service level agreements with Ascend in order to provide them I.T. services from our systems. One of the service agreements fully paid for upgrading our older Customer Maintenance system.

Drafted and proposed our initial e-Business strategy, which became a major initiative within the company. The strategy included how to effectively manage the change of major business processes and in what order the major business applications would be updated and rolled out to support the new strategy.

Obtained funding for new projects from the executive board to perform major upgrades on both of the PeopleSoft and Oracle systems as well as purchasing a web-based Configurator - Selectica and B2B software as first steps towards fulfilling our strategic drive to the web, e-commerce and data warehousing.

Mentored three new IS Managers and recruited and hired new personnel. Retained staff through a difficult period and maintained systems with half the head count.

Coordinated and directed our Y2K initiative and ensured a good overall development and implementation approach. This project came in significantly under budget and there was no interruption in service when the year 2000 arrived.

Established a software lifecycle methodology that was followed throughout my organization that helped improve our quality and on time delivery.

MANAGER OF FINANCE AND ADMINSTRATIVE SYSTEMS 05/97-10/98

Planned and directed the efforts of the MIS Applications analytical and programming resources to develop, install, and maintain computer information systems at divisional and/or multi-divisional levels. Also, provided assistance to corporate management to identify and justify new information systems projects.

Acted as a senior staff advisor between user management and IT in all data processing related activities and business functions, provided direction for attaining and influencing the IT goals and objectives of the corporation while assuring that multiple projects were completed on-time and within budget using a software development lifecycle methodology.

Project Achievements:

Implementation and roll out of the full suite of Oracle Financials (OE, AR, GL, FA, AP and Purchasing) for the U.S., Ireland and the U.K. This was completed on time.

Further deployment of the Oracle Financials into our subsidiaries, like Hong Kong and Singapore.

Development and maintenance of our Customer Maintenance Billing System, which accounted for 150+ million dollars in revenue.

BANYAN SYSTEMS INC, Westboro, MA 01581

DIRECTOR BUSINESS APPLICATIONS 11/96-05/97

As Director of Business Applications, the scope encompassed all applications within Banyan.

Achievements included:

Launched and implemented a Data Warehousing effort that used data replication to link all of the major business applications. For instance, the education system (EDWIN) would use the same customer information as GENSTAR.

Took responsibility for the troubled SAP project rollout that had been launched at Banyan. The project was put back on track and the reliability of the product was greatly improved.

Established a software lifecycle methodology that was followed throughout my organization that helped improve our quality and on time delivery.

MANAGER - BUSINESS APPLICATIONS 05/94-10/96

Managed the Business Application group in the I.S. department at Banyan that supported the Engineering, SQA, Technical Support, Education and HR departments at Banyan. The group handled both new development activities and maintenance of existing system.

PeopleSoft Project

The PeopleSoft product replaced the legacy Ceridian HR-1 system in early October 1996. Directed and participated in business process analysis, as well as the implementation and deployment phase. This included writing HR reports and configuring the PeopleSoft system. Also, conducted the acceptance testing and the end user training.

The project was delivered on time and within budget.

GENSTAR Project

The Global Enterprise Software Tracking and Resolution (GENSTAR) project replaced the old customer support application. GENSTAR also contained a WEB component, data replication and a search engine.

Directed the analysis and investigation of replacing the current legacy call center system with a third party product. Developed the Requirements Specification and Business Process document. Negotiated contract with vendor, developed project schedule and budgets for application.

This project had a major impact on the engineering and support organizations. Extensive end-user training, end user involvement and excellent IT support helped to gain positive acceptance of the product very quickly.

This project was delivered on time and within budget.

EdWIN Project

The Education Worldwide Information Network (EdWIN) tracked all external training classes offered by the Banyan Education Organization. This includes features such as, registration, certification, special discounts, scheduling classes, rosters, and certificates.

Directed and participated in all lifecycle deliverables: Requirements Specification, Business Process document, scheduling, budgeting, testing, training, weekly user meetings and managed 8 developers to produce a quality product.

This program was successful where previous IT attempts failed. The project was delivered on time and within budget.
