Working for SEPCO-1 as Senior Turbine Engineer from 20th September 2011 to till date.

Roles and Responsibilities in SEPCO-1

Project: 4*300MW BALCO Power project -Korba.

• Quality inspection Engineer for Turbine, generator, Auxiliaries and conducting of major activities in TG piping.

• Checking of alignment of casings, pedestals and rotors. Checking clearances such as Radial, Axial, Thermal clearances, coupling Spigot, Bearing Interference and oil clearances, air seal, oil guard, Fan guard, Magnetic Centre line clearances .

• Making of Protocols and Co-ordination with QA/QC test’s for inspection.

• Co-ordination with customer and contractors for various project requirements.

• And also looking over Quality Inspection of TG piping’s such as Main Steam, CRH, HRH, EXTRACTION, IP, LP, FW, Shaft sealing, open and closed cooling water systems.

• Making of drawings for Drain and vent lines

• Conducting of Hydro tests for critical and IP, LP piping.

• Conducting of Alkali flushing activity for IP, LP, & HP feed water systems, steam side and water side of Heaters.

• Conducting of Auxiliary Steam blowing for shaft sealing and mini turbine steam lines and making of drawings for temporary piping to conduct the Auxiliary Steam blowing.

• Coordinating of temporary piping activity for Main Steam blowing and preparation, insertion and testing of Target Plates, checking of Granule collector.

• Checking of floating (reliving pressure and reseating pressure) for safety valves and measuring of Blow down percentage.

• Drawing of isometric layouts and making of Quality inspection reports for TG piping.

• Sending the letters to Client and contractors regarding planning and quality issues.

Roles and Responsibilities in Vasavi Power Services Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad

Project: 100MW CCPP, TNEB-Kuttalam Tamilnadu.

• Undertaking of Shutdown projects.

• Checking of alignments, clearances such as Bearing Interference and oil clearances, air seal, Air gaps, oil guard, Fan guard, Magnetic Centre line clearances.

• Coordinating with the electrical testing team for conducting of electrical Test’s for Stator, rotor and excitor such as IR, PI, DC winding resistance, RSO, AC impedance, visual test .

• Making of Protocols for above tests & values, coordinating with QA/QC members during quality inspection.

• Preparation of documentation after completion of project.

• Co-ordination with clients for various project requirements.

• Planning, co-ordination and supervising of manpower during installation, commissioning and maintenance activities.

Project: 6*135MW JINDAL STEEL AND POWER, ANGUL-ORISSA.

• Erection and Commissioning Steam Turbine, Generator Sets, its Auxiliaries and Condenser.

• Auxiliaries include HP, LP, heaters, deaerator, MDBFP, main oil tank, MOP, EOP,AOP,JOP, coolers, filters, CEP,GSC, vacuum pumps, main steam valves.

• Checking of alignments of casings, pedestals and rotors, CRO. Checking of clearances such as Radial, Axial, Thermal clearances, coupling Spigot, Bearing Interference and oil clearances, air seal, Air gap’s, oil guard, Fan guard, Magnetic Centre line clearances etc.

• Checking of Alignment of condenser tube support plates.

• Checking of Condenser tube cutting and tube expansions after tubes insertion.

• Leak test and DP test of condenser and condenser tubes.

• Turbine and Generator sole plates and packer plates blue matching checking.

• Checking of alignment and blue matching of Pedestal Base plates.

• Alignment and Centre line checking of Generator stator.

• Rotor insertion of generator.

• Placement and Alignment of turbine rotors. (H.I.P, L.P).
