Allen’s Body Shop, 2003 -2005
Upholsterer and Assistant body prep. - Main objective was the restoration of interiors of early
model cars and repair of late model accident damage and disaster received from insurance
claims.
United States Army, 2005 – 2009
Specialist- Completed 3 years and 5 months with the U.S. Army. Was deployed out of Ft. Carson with 2ID which unit was stationed on a forward operating base named FOB Rustamiyah. I, along with 8 other maintenance personnel, maintained a 98% vehicle Go status, highest in theater for the entire 15 months. Received an ARCOM for doing so. Alongside barrier missions, gate guard, and being a combat live saver.
Management & Logistics: Led a group of 4 soldiers after reaching the rank of specialist in the early months of the deployment. Was in charge of preventative checks & services and a/c maintenance. This required the upkeep and storage of parts and lubricants and paper work to clarify all necessary requirements had been met along with complete and accurate inventory. There were 150 vehicles within the unit.
Training & Development: Have cross training in a/c services and repair, generator maintenance and repair, and next to steel and aluminum welding.
Colonial Automotive, 2009-2010
Maintenance and Alignment mechanic- Preformed a wide range of maintenance on different vehicle makes and models .This included basic services to total engine overhauls. Alignments were done on an as needed basis due to high work load and lack of fellow workers having sufficient training to do so.
