EMPLOYMENT
09/2006 - 10/2011
Schwarze Industries, 1055 Jordan Road, Huntsville AL 35811
I was the production welder of street sweeping trucks. I also worked on the safety team and the five "5" team. I took a L.E.A.N. training course to help the company be more productive. I built fixtures for parts that saved the company time on production as well as money. I built racks to hang welded parts on. That saved the paint department time and money. With my L.E.A.N. I cut time off weld production by twenty percent. I came up with a system to build a hopper in sixteen hours instead of twenty hours. If one department was behind and I was ahead of my work, I would go and help that department. I used my L.E.A.N. training to help that department find a better and quicker way to do that job. I saved and made the company more productive and
profitable.
OS/2006 - 09/2006
Matzu Industries, 9650 Kellner Road, Huntsville AL 35824
I ran.a robotic welding machine. I would manually repair the welds that the robot missed or messed up. I built safety products for Honda automobiles. While the plant was shut down for two weeks each year, I would fabricate items to cut production time down. I also came up with the idea to put wheels on the crates; this kept things moving since I didn't have to wait for the forklift drivers.
11/2005 - OS/2006
Adecco Temporary Services, 6125 University Drive, Huntsville AL 35806
I was place at Matzu Industries as a temporary employee until they hired me as a permanent employee.
04/2005 - 09/2005 .
Waltco Trucking Equipment Co., 298 Northeast Ave., Tallmadge, OH
I was a production welder. I built lift gates for the use of semi-trailers. I also designed and built fixtures for parts; which increased production by 15% daily. I developed a system that increased productivity from four decks per day to five and a half decks per day. I was then asked to train the other employees on the new system.
03/2004 - 04/2005
Clean World, 1315 DeValera, Akron, OH
I was a floor technician. I polished concrete floors, sealed blacktop, stripped and waxed tile floors. I also buffed and maintained floors previously waxed. I cleaned and treated carpets. Stripping the edge of floors required being on your hands and knees, I came up with a wheel dolly to scoot around the edge of the floor, saving hours of work on each stripping job.
07/2003 - 02/2004
B-Dry Basement Systems - Bedford, OH
I was a water proofer. I jack hammered from the basement wall to six inches out from the wall. I would dig out pitched slopes from 12" to 18" and a 3' deep hole. I would insert gravel to make a better pitch. Then I would insert 4" PVC pipe all around the wall. In the 3' hole, I would install plastic reservoir, and in the reservoir I would insert a sump pump. I would then install the sump pump into the down spout. I would install fiberglass onto the basement wall. I made sure everything was properly installed so that it could be tested by the city inspector. Once approved, I would place more gravel over pipe leaving 3 to 4" form the rest of the floor. Finally, I would mix cement and place it on top of the gravel, smoothing it out so that the floor was level.
