SDC SOLUTIONS, INC., Manchester, New Hampshire August 2004 – Present

Position: Manager, Marketing and Communications

 Championed the design and launch of new company identity in order to move SDC from being perceived as regional and provincial to being regarded as a competitive world-wide presence.

 Responsible for actively creating and/or coordinating all facets of new identity launch including:

o Overall look and feel of new identity

o New identity awareness campaign

o Content for new brochures and website

o Design and launch of new website

 Responsible for writing all SDC communications including press releases, email blasts, published articles, and content for the SDC website, webcasts, and brochures.

 Assist in cultivating and managing channel and technology partner relationships by working directly with marketing counterparts to develop press releases, co-branded marketing pieces and co-sponsored seminars and webinars.

 Execute supporting documentation for channel partner program including SDC Selling Guide, SDC Graphics Standards Manual, and channel-specific collateral.

 Participate in channel sales training by developing targeted presentations to meet each channel partner’s objectives and needs.

 Actively create and/or direct the design and content of all marketing campaigns including e-mail, direct mail, and print advertising.

 Test and monitor the success of each marketing campaign. Make adjustments to maximize success rate.

 Develop and implement comprehensive yearly marketing strategy to maximize marketing dollars, increase brand awareness, strengthen company reputation, and influence product development.

Position: Marketing Manager April 2001– March 2004

 Responsible for strategic and tactical input regarding comprehensive annual marketing plans and budgets for two major journals, BioTechniques and Preclinica, as well as all book titles.

 Advise New Products Committee on graphic appearance of new publications.

 Involved in all facets of new product launches including conducting preliminary market research, creating and executing comprehensive marketing plan, and conducting follow-up research on all efforts.

 Create marketing surveys geared towards advertisers and subscribers. Perform collation of results and follow up of all surveys.

 Coordinate ongoing marketing efforts with internal and external sales force to reach projected sales goals for all publications.

 Supervise two marketing assistants and coordinate with several departments, including sales, editorial, and circulation within this multinational company.

Position: Assistant Marketing Manager April 1999 – April 2001

 Responsible for writing original copy for print, e-mail, and web-based marketing campaigns.

 Responsible for creating and executing two monthly e-mail newsletters.

 Worked in conjunction with editorial and circulation departments as well as graphic designers and print houses to develop monthly e-mail campaigns, magazine advertising, direct mail campaigns, and sales and marketing collateral.

 Determined marketing budgets and campaigns for each product.

 Researched the most cost-effective methods of marketing each publication to ensure maximum penetration of the target population.

 Executed campaigns for each product including email efforts, direct mail, space advertising, fax efforts, and marketing collateral for sales force that meet ROI and response-rate goals and stay within campaign time frame and budget.

 Acted as Project Editor for BioTechniques Update Volumes, overseeing the entire production of each book and coordinating additions and changes from multiple authors and a copyeditor.
