Worked closely with buyer’s quality representative and completely aware of the different buyers AQL standards, quality procedures /systems etc.

Devised and implemented quality systems within the production unit which has significantly contributed in improving the overall quality standards.

KEY DELIVERABLES

Looking after the core activities of production right from the beginning of sampling stage & its necessary approval by various agencies involved therein. To achieve the desired result the Continuous process of follow up with PPC, Resourcing, Merchandising & buying houses are the main activities on daily basis.

Looking into the buyer’s requirements & specifications, obtaining approval from buyer or their buying agencies for production sample and bulk production.

Interface between buyers and production for facilitating smooth order execution and handling the entire production cycle till the final shipping of the goods.

Sourcing & Procurement

Developing vendors for the material required and negotiating with them for price, quality & delivery terms.

Coordinating with the suppliers for timely & smooth receipt of the material.

Operations

Interacting with the buyers (client) & keeping them informed on the status of running orders.

Functioning as a single point-of-interface for coordinating with production & shipping departments and the buyer to ensure that the production schedule is met and ensure on-time delivery of shipments.

Monitoring finished goods before dispatch and conducting Quality Audits to ensure right quality is being shipped.

Proactively anticipating performance bottlenecks and addressal of the same.

Spearheading Production centers operations, also planning the order and sample execution dates keeping in mind the delivery period.

Significant contribution in handling the production of Accessories (product division; leather belts)

Directly interacting with the buyers regarding the product’s requirement / specifications. Approvals etc.

Currently Heading a Wallet unit, which is producing approx 40.000 units/month.

Dec’99-Dec’03 with ABC Leathers, Gurgaon as Assistant Production Manager

Played a pivotal role in handling and organizing

o Sales samples per season

Acted as a support in designing as well as the production.

Planning the order and sample execution dates keeping in mind the season and sales period.

Shifted to leather garments, and took charge of production in one unit. With full efficacy

Again the role was same, to coordinate with various agencies / buyers foe sample and production approvals. Etc.

May’96-Nov’99 with M/S SHEELA (P) Ltd., New Delhi as Assistant Production Manager

Interacted and interfaced with the various buyers and making sure the sample range developed for each buyer is according to their market and taste.

Looked after the raw material sourcing and negotiated with suppliers to get the best rates for the company.

Successfully monitoring the production activities of leather goods so that deliveries can be done before deadline.

Worked in tandem with the design team and bought out new innovative and fresh design packs.

Dealt with buyers and agencies and getting the sample range developed according to their requirement.

Was looking after the shoe upper production of horse riding boots and fashion shoe uppers.
