Global Commodity Management role managing chip capacitors and outsourced semiconductor assembly & test (OSAT) services.
Significant focus on cost reduction, inventory management and vendor performance tracking.
Responsible for annual spend of approximately $100M. ($30M chip cap; $70M OSAT).
Key Achievements:
Negotiated cost reductions of 35% ($14M) on chip cap commodity over a 20 month period through the introduction of a rigid, disciplined RFQ and Business Award process.

Jun.’02 – Jan.'10 Purchasing Director Redline Communications Inc.
(Redline Communications designs & manufactures long range, high speed wireless data communication devices for use in commercial and military application with annual revenue in the $50M range.)
Hired at start-up as Purchasing Manager and later promoted to Director and reporting directly to the VP Operations.
Responsibilities included managing the prototype, pilot and production scheduling with Manufacturing Service providers in North America and Asia.
Responsible for annual spend between $15M and $20M.
Managed three direct reports responsible for supporting engineering in the areas of product development and New Product Introduction (NPI).
Minimized excess & obsolete inventory exposure through extensive audits of EMS supply management data.
Managed primary and peripheral finished goods inventory levels in 3rd party distribution hub.
Developed and managed the company production build plan incorporating direction from sales & exec staff and executed with the EMS sub-contractors.
