Public Health Inspector (in training) -Environmental Assessment – Under directive of Public Health Inspectors mandated through Ministry of Health and Long Term Care for four months then was assigned, in the City of Sault Ste. Marie, a designated area of responsibility. This involved performing inspections of restaurants, personal service settings, pools/spas and group homes. Continued proficiency in training with advanced exposure to enterics and communicable diseases (e.g. H1N1), risk hazard analysis, inspections, HPPA (O. Reg. 562), HACCP, SDWS, IPHIS and strict adherence to policies and procedures guidelines. Currently involved with Food Safety Committee and represent APH at the BPAC (Binational Public Advisory Committee) meetings. Participation in summer water quality/beach sampling/West Nile program from Sault Ste. Marie to Wawa, White River and Dubreuilville. Lead various sanitary septic field surveys (e.g. Pine Island-Tarbutt Twp.) Initiated/coordinated project near Sault Ste.
