Project: Modeling and Control of Single phase Grid-tied Inverter for Wind- Solar Hybrids at Electrical Power Technology Lab

•Simulated entire circuit and control logics such as constant dc link control at inverter dc side and a Synchronous DQ frame current control for a bidirectional Sinusoidal PWM Grid Tied inverter in MATLAB & PLECS

•Implemented a PLL for Grid synchronization of inverter

•Embedded C coding of floating point DSP TMS320F28335,a 32-Bit floating point DSP was performed to obtain sinusoidal PWM and to perform real time current control of inverter, DC-DC converter & Grid synchronization using PLL

•Hardware set up of single phase inverter and associated control circuit was assembled, debugged and tested for standalone mode and grid connected mode at various voltage levels

•Extensive literature study on renewable energy and micro inverters was performed

•Documented the results and prepared report and presentation on intermediate and final stages of project.

•Delivered the results on deadline and debugged many challenging problems
