ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
• MIPS Simulator (University of Florida): Spring 2010
Implemented a disassembler and a simulator for MIPS (Microprocessor without Interlocked Pipeline Stages) Instruction set as a part of Computer Architecture curriculum, which provided advanced pipelining using Tomasulo algorithm with branch prediction and load-store queue, and was implemented in C++ / JAVA
• B-Tree implementation (University of Florida): Fall 2009
Implemented a B-tree in C++, performing the standard operations of search, insert, delete, delete_minimum, and operated in 2 modes – random input mode wherein the efficiency of the implementation was analyzed against large number of random standard operations, and the user input mode wherein the standard operations were read from a file
• Multi-threaded client-server file system implementation(University of Florida): Fall 2010
Implemented a multi-threaded client/server based distributed file system in JAVA Eclipse IDE for conflict-free transfer of multiple files in the form of chunks, providing authentication and replication as well as ensuring robustness in the events of crashes / failures
• Mobile client-server health application (University of Florida): Fall 2010
Implemented a proxy server in JAVA Eclipse IDE, advising the user on his/her calorie intake based on their personal health profile stored in a database, and comparing it against the total calorie intake from the selected menu of a particular restaurant of their choice in the vicinity of the current user location provided by the mobile client application installed on an Android OS based phone
• Airline Flight Reservation System (University of Florida): Spring 2010
Implemented a web-based flight reservation database system (SQL Server 2008) which provides customers with flight details for reservation purposes, based on their choices, processed by an optimal matching algorithm
• Power Station Database Management (University of Mumbai): Spring 2007
Designed and implemented a database system in Oracle for a power station which would find out how much power each region under its jurisdiction would consume on a monthly basis as well as the power generated by the resources and then determine whether power supply to particular regions should be increased or decreased
