About myself I am a qualified Lawyer but not an advocate yet. I hold a bachelor of Laws degree (LLB, Second class honours) from Islamic university in Uganda.

I have been practically involved in the legal profession for up to four months now. Considering the fact that I am not yet an enrolled advocate, I haven’t gone to courts of law yet to represent clients, I have however been drafting legal documents and serving court process with in this time I have worked with this law firm.

I am a female Ugandan born in 1987, from Sheema district (before Bushenyi) in western Uganda. Apparently I am single.

I have been involved with Makeera& co. Adv. for more than a year now. This is a law firm that deals with all laws. I have however been directly responsible for drafting of legal documents and serving of court process.

Professional and technical training I have wrote a research proposal on the women’s rights under the domestic related laws in Uganda which I submitted to the faculty of law of the Islamic university in Uganda as a partial fulfilment for the award of the bachelor of laws of the same university.

I was the chairperson on the drafting committee of the constitution of Islamic university class coordinators’ association (IUCCOA) in the academic year 2009/2010.

I am a trained leader and have good leadership skills. I attended leadership training workshops in March & August 2009 at the school of Hygiene-Mbale and Islamic university in Uganda females’ campus- Kabojja respectively.

I am a trained peer educator specifically dealing with the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS. I have attended several training workshops with the longest one in January 2010 organised by AMICAALL which was the first of its kind and lasted for a week.

I was a member on the drafting committee of the Islamic university in Uganda HIV/AIDS work place policy -2009 the first of its kind in the history of the university.

Objective My Career objective is to enable my profession (lawyer) uphold its aptitude and values. I intend to fully exploit my potential for the benefit of the legal profession and any other field, department or profession that can possibly benefit from efforts. My Principle objective is to become a renowned achiever, who will rarely leave any task half complete.

In the short term, I intend to transform myself into a renowned legal practitioner who will provide services to those in need with all honesty and to attain additional academic qualifications in my area of interest in addition to my LLB like a post graduate bar course and or otherwise a masters in a field of my own choice that would strategically position me at a suitable niche to contribute significantly to my country, and to the legal fraternity all over the world

From all the above, I expect to realize personal development and growth from my Profession and the company or organization I will be rendering my services to at the opportune moment.

Languages I am Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fair in spoken Kiswahili and Arabic but fluent in written of both Kiswahili and Arabic. I am also fluent in several local languages in Uganda.

Extracurricular activities I enjoy playing indoor brain-activating games like Chess, Draughts, Scrabble, and I play net ball among the outdoor games.

Computer Literacy

I have knowledge on Introduction to Computer applications, Word Processing, Microsoft Excel and Modelling, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Access and internet usage.
