Build key areas of the Viewzi.com search platform, including work on the View Picker, Memcaching technique and Executive Information System (EIS).
Design and implement way to retrieve data from different data providers. Analyze end-user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of view design on viewzi platform.
Software Intern, May 2007 – Aug 2007
Designed and developed a Viewpicker algorithm for ranking of views on context of given search. Researched machine learning, information retrieval, indexing techniques to solve context based search problem.
QuEST Forum, The University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Oct 2005 - May 2007
Graduate Assistant
Created a web based certification system for telecommunication vendors. Designed, developed and tested modules like voting management, automatic emails, electronic payment scheduling.
Patni Computer Systems Ltd., India. (CMM-5) July 2004 – July 2005
Software Engineer
Worked on a project involving enhancements of several Ecommerce based ‘Private Label Credit Card’ applications such as e-Apply, e-Security, e-Pay.
This involved following the waterfall model of the SDLC, covering requirement analysis, designing and coding.
Air India, Mumbai. July 2003 – July 2004
Student Intern
Developed a Client Server Application maintaining employee work time and leave records – ‘Time-Office Automation’ for the Department of Information Technology, Air India.
The application was created using VB and SQL.
Thesis:
“Visual Querying and Content Based Searching for 3D Human Motions” Implemented visual query interface for drawing motion queries and designed a content based search algorithm for efficient retrieval of 3D Human Motions.

Academic Projects:
“Morris Game” Implemented Intelligent game on basis of min-max tree generation and alpha-beta pruning techniques to generate intelligent moves after each move from opponent.
“Koo and Toueg's optimized synchronous checkpointing and recovery protocols” Using socket programming in java established a connection between N different nodes and then implemented synchronous checkpointing and recovery algorithms on top.
“Chandy-Lamport’s Global State Recording Protocol” Worked on implementation MAP protocol along with Consistency check protocol using socket programming in Java.
“Classification and Clustering of Photographic Corel Image Dataset” Studied and implemented the K-means Clustering algorithm along with Principal Component Analysis using the Coral image data set. Applied PCA before and after Kmeans and compared the results.
“Principal Component Analysis based face Recognition System” Computed the eigenface, eigenvalues and the average face. Studied the variation of the number of eigenvectors vs the image identification accuracy.
