PROJECT ENGINEER - for general contractor
Duties include:
* Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
* Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the job duties among various members including owner, construction management, Procurement, Construction, Maintenance and Operations branch and other administrative offices involved in the completion of construction.
* Ensure project documents, correspondence, reports, procedures and guidelines file maintenance and document control are complete, current, and field appropriately.
* Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates & utilization.
* Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors .
* Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods after reviewing existing condition plans, proposed grading and drainage plans, sanitary and storm sewer profiles create SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan).
* Write all needed RFI (Request for Information) review generate and forward any RFI`s from subcontractors to the appropriate party. Keep the CPM schedule updated, and plan subcontractor’s coordination meetings. Produce a daily construction report and monitor any extra work to the contract.
* Coordinate building systems to produce constructible coordination plans and schedule work accordingly.
* Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
* Estimating time and material costs and produce change orders when needed with (T&M) time and material back up documents, photos, RFI, sketches and successfully negotiate change orders.
* Supervising foremen, and laborers. Manage subcontractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting as well as monitoring and controlling subcontractor performance.
* Receive, review and obtain approval of submittals from subcontractors and forward them to the appropriate party.
* Create submittal packages including shop drawings and all needed cut sheets to obtain approval. Review submittals for conformance to plans and specifications. Develop a schedule to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements.
* Approve expenditures and payroll. Developing and implementing policies and procedures.
* Keep an as-built set of the project document plans up to date with the latest changes.
* Obtain all of the project necessary permits and licenses.
* Attend any job walks and meetings as required.

Port Of LA Police Headquarters 134,000 S.F. $42 Million
A gold leaf LEED project that includes police station headquarters building and adjacent parking structure. Employed the use of different construction material like shotcrete on retaining walls and pile footings for the parking structure.
Port Of Long beach Security Command and Control Center 25.110 S.F. $27 million
This is a water edge construction for the port of Long Beach which had special requirements for storm water and used pervious concrete to control water run off and improve the LEED certification
Hollenback Police Station. 173,000 S.F. $34 Million
This project includes a station building and adjacent 3 level parking structure with complete mechanic shop, fueling station and car wash.
Crozier Middle School Fine Arts Building Remodel. 22,189 S.F. $6.5 Million
Second phase of the middle school complex of new buildings. Managed complete aspects of the remodeling project of an existing theater building. Worked with the school district and the architect to pass al of DSA requirements and sign off on all unforeseen changes.
Crozier Middle School. 105,000 S.F. $35 Million
New construction of a middle school in Inglewood Ca. including soil work compaction, installing geo fabric and grading. The school won numerous awards.
Private institute in Anaheim, Ca. 31,641 S.F. $6 Million
Complete the project and obtain occupancy permit in a very challenging schedule.
Pasadena High School Remodel. 189,000 S.F. $23 Million
Complete last phase of the construction and settled all change order and closed out standing engineering issues. Signed off punch list.
