OBJECTIVE
To secure continuous employment in a company as a Mechanical/Design/Production Engineer in order to use the success-driven engineering skills I have obtained from my past experience and education to continue my career in the field of engineering while simultaneously being a dynamic positive contributor to this company in the above capacity with the primary objective of company success first before self. I am open to relocation.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
March 2007 – Present Mechanical Engineer H2GEN Innovations Inc.
• Developed and implemented highly successful design and engineering of multi-million dollars customized hydrogen generation plants from Steam-Methane Reformation Processes and Metallurgical Atmospheres Recovery Systems. Design software extensively used included Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0, Pro/SHEETMETAL, Pro/PIPING, AutoCAD 2004.
• Developed various structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models and runs to authenticate structural and thermal integrity of machine parts and sub-assemblies. Analyses implemented in design were highly successful. Tools used included Pro/MECHANICA
• Successful sizing, design, installation and maintenance of pressure vessels and buffer volumes for high pressure and temperature application in hydrogen generating plants and reciprocating compressors utilizing ASME Section VIII Division I and II, Section II Parts A, B, C and D and API 618. Cost savings in some innovative design I implemented were in several thousands of dollars.
• Utilized ASME B31.3 and general engineering structural and thermal calculations in the successful design of pressurized pipelines in hydrogen generating plants.
• Design and fabrication of high temperature (up to 10000C) chemical reactors and tubular heat exchangers utilizing TEMA and ASME Section VIII UHX Standards. Achieved success in many of the design which included complex sheet metal geometry.
• Implemented some successful project related Product Data Management. Tools used extensively included Pro/INTRALINK 3.4 and Microsoft NAVISION
• Successful Project management of the detailed design, fabrication and commissioning of hydrogen generating plants. Detailed write-up of plant manuals for publication.
• Supervisory support to engineering drafters and production shop workers in design and fabrication of machinery. Assisted in build schedules and milestones for manufacturing
• Generation and maintenance of project specific Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN). Use of various Pipe and Instrumentation Diagrams (P & ID)
• Regular communication with local and international manufacturers and distributors for sourcing of custom components like pressure relief valves, pressure regulators, flow-meters, heat exchangers, etc. Detailed material selection and analysis in design.
• Mechanical engineering field work to troubleshoot and solve problems in field plants.
Dec 2003 – Dec 2004 Inspection/ Mechanical Engineer OENL Engineering Company
Job functions included but not limited to:
• Successful Implementation and development of design, drafting and maintenance standards for company. Machines included Electrical Power Generators and Positive displacement pumps. Tools used in design included Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire and AutoCAD 2002.
• Project management of the repair and maintenance of oil and gas servicing company equipment for periodic full scale maintenance work.
• Supervisory function to engineering contractors during engineering work and fabrication.
• Consistent and continuous communication with local/international vendors in sourcing parts and sub-assemblies for specific projects during project management.
Aug 2002 – Dec 2003 Operations Support Societe Generale Bank
Job functions included but not limited to:
• Support of branch banking operations, Logistics and Project management
• Financial analysis support for branch banking investments
• Customer interface for the intermediation and implementation of bank products.
• Product Data Management with Flexcube Database.
July 2001 – July 2002 Mechanical Engineer (Intern) National Breweries Plc
Job functions included but not limited to:
• Design and routine maintenance of pressure vessels and grain storage silos.
• Design and drafting inspection of machine components for fabrication in the engineering job shop. Machine parts included centrifugal and axial pump housings, pipeline bends and tees, steel conveyor belts and Grain Silo filters/Housings. Design and drafting software used included AutoCAD 2000 and Pro/ENGINEER 2001.
• Assistive engineering maintenance of industrial pumps, heat exchangers, high capacity liquid storage tanks and industrial pressurized fluid pipelines within the engineering environment.
• Proper selection and symbiotic project execution with local and international third party contractors/contract employees in engineering projects in the brewery.
• Product Data Management with Maximo database
