Clinical Neuropsychologist – Responsibilities include designing individualized psychological and neuropsychological test batteries; integrate test findings with reported neurocognitive and emotional changes, and provide interpretations/recommendation to referral sources to aid in differential diagnosis, treatment planning and the identification of neurocognitive limitations associated with traumatic brain injury from blast exposure, degenerative dementia, closed head injuries, and systemic illness that affect neurocognitive functioning. Neuropsychology Clerkship. 1200 hours of supervised clinical experience with a diverse psychiatric and medical population suffering such disorders as: closed and open head injury, persistent mental illnesses, degenerative dementias, substance abuse and dependence and medical disorders which affect cognitive functioning (i.e., systemic lupus erythematosus, AIDS, liver dysfunction, & cardiovascular disorders). Provided services to geropsychiatric, adolescent, and adult patients. Primarily performed neuropsychological and psychological assessment, interpretation, and intervention.
