Work Experiences
Jan 2011-Present Ryerson University Toronto, Ont
• Research Associate
• Worked as a Research lead on a green energy project called “Application of an Agent-Based Self-Adaptive Micro-Storage Device into a Smart-Environment” to compete in Siemens smart grid competition.
• Contribution: Main developer of the algorithm also helped the team members to implement this (this is an ongoing project).
2008-2010
Ryerson University
Toronto, Ont
• Graduate Research Assistant
• Worked as a Co-leader on application and development of various machine learning and statistical models, able to make predictions and decisions on industrial machinery functionality.
• Contribution: Conducted pure machine learning research in collaboration with other computer scientists, leading to several advances in support vector machine (SVM) theory and application in a real environments. Developed SVM-based classifier for industrial motor faulty conditions detection. Co-developed a custom SVM library for certain types of scientific data sets. Furthermore, worked toward applying the SVM for eye tracking classification.
