DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises and provides leadership to reactive sales team consisting of three Sales Assistants and one Sales Clerk.
Manages larger accounts and international group conventions such as Pharmaceutical (Astra Zeneca, Pfizer Inc., GlaxoSmithKline, Bristol-Myers Squibb – Mead Johnson, etc.), Airline (Northwest Airlines, Qatar Airways, Hawaiian Air, etc.) and Shipping/Freight Forwarding (Maersk Sealand and Aboitiz).
Determines availability of space and rates using revenue management tools such as property sales strategy, forecast book, and sales systems. Seeks additional approval from the Revenue Manager or Director of Sales as needed.
Inputs and maintains contacts, accounts and opportunity information in OPERA.
Prepares proposals for both group bookings and catering requirements.
Regularly follows up on developments and feedbacks of existing tentative reservations.
Conducts ocular inspection of the property’s features, along with minor detailing of client’s initial requirements.
Communicates specifics of group and conventions to Event Management.
Attends coordination meetings for live-in conventions with Event Management as needed.
Visits customers in their respective offices as needed.
Maintains relationship with customers through thank-you letters and follow up calls to increase repeat business.
Responsible for promoting the Hotel’s products and services by soliciting business through sales call, telemarketing, sales blitzes, and other customer interaction.
Participates in the weekly Sales Strategy Meeting with the Executive Committee.

Produces reports for weekly turnover report and lost and turndown report.
Produces quarterly report for competitor rates.
Handles guest complaints that fall under the area of responsibility.
