My BS degree in Mechanical Engineering was earned at the University of Connecticut. Combining my engineering degree with my manufacturing focus, I often collaborate with customers to develop customized products. I am very successful in solving technical product issues working with high-precision specialty materials.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Eliminated bottleneck in labor intensive manufacturing process. M Cubed Technologies’ customer doubled order for high-value ceramic component. Labor intensive final processing step was reducing capability to meet demand. Developed CNC-controlled process to run optical processing step. Reduced cycle time 30% and man-hour touch-time 75%. Facilitated $1.5M increase in component sales.

Resolved mean time between failures (MTBF) issue. Despite meeting customer production specifications, existing M Cubed product had short life span. Customer sought alternative. Worked with customer development engineers and internal design staff to reengineer product. Identified solution and brought revised component into production ahead of schedule.

Redesigned production facility. New armor product line offered opportunity to double M Cubed production capacity. Managed facilities team to design, and implement new production cell. Identified and purchased customizable equipment that met production requirements. Completed project on-time and within budget.

Consolidated manufacturing operations. Custom product was being produced at two locations. Identified opportunity to complete all manufacturing steps at one facility. Oversaw the consolidation effort that resulted in measurable quality improvements, reduced transportation costs and improved cycle time. Cost savings and customer satisfaction were significant.

Developed manufacturing process for custom component, leading to $4M account. A leading OEM company sought to design next generation wire bonding system. Working with customer, led M Cubed product development team to design and develop cost-effective component. Development time from prototype to production took only four months.

CAREER HISTORY

VP, Manufacturing Development, M Cubed Technologies, Inc., 2004-2009. Direct product teams in rapid prototype development of complex, optical tolerance hybrid composite components and assemblies.

Director, Manufacturing, M Cubed Technologies, Inc., 1996-2003. Led high precision manufacturing operation, meeting military specifications. Provided manufacturing/operations support to R&D facility.

Director, Operations, Lanxide Precision, Inc., 1993-1996. After overseeing sale of Stamford Tool & Die, positioned manufacturing and engineering capabilities to enable rapid growth as Lanxide division. Revenues doubled quickly.

Managing Director, Stamford Tool & Die (Cognitronics Corp.), 1988-1992. Managed all aspects of sales, operations, and P&L for this $4M manufacturer of precision components. Orchestrated sale to Lanxide.

Previous positions at Stamford Tool & Die included VP, Engineering, Plant Manager and Mfg. Engineer.
