• 1.5 Years experience as Research Assistant at National Institute for Aviation Research, where handled responsibilities of designing in CATIA V5,meshing in HYPERMESH, static and dynamic finite element analysis in LS DYNA and MADYMO.

• Experience with thermal welding and other machining process.

• Experience in carrying out crash tests.

• Involved in design and fabrication of Automatic Page turner.

• Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• M.S in Mechanical Engineering Expected Graduation October 2009 Wichita State University, Wichita, KS GPA:3.375/4.0

• B.S in Mechanical Engineering. May 2007 Visveswariya Technological University, Belgaum, India

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Research Assistant August 2007 – May 2009 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR), Wichita, KS, Computational Mechanics

• Development of Finite Element Model of Aircraft seat for certification by analysis:

The procedure to certify aircraft seat in accordance with FAA standards by carrying out analysis in LS Dyna and MADYMO.

• MADYMO model for Mass transit Bus:

Experience with MADYMO in carrying out crash analysis of bus driver using FE human model by using different conditions like with and without airbag and comparing with test data.

• BirdStrike Analysis on a Composite window of Airplane:

The Finite Element Analysis of composite window is carried out in LS Dyna and validated with results from test data.

• BirdStrike Analysis on Rigid plate and Leading Edge of Airplane Wing :

Leading edge of different dimensions are modeled in CATIA and meshed in Hypermesh. FE analysis is carried out in LS Dyna using meshless SPH and ALE technique for bird model.

• Finite Element Analysis of Aircraft Seat :

The simulation results obtained from FE analysis is compared with test data and validated.

Technical Assistant August 2006 – March 2007

• Worked in Machine shop carrying out operations like drilling, milling and other machining process on various components.

TECHNICAL PROJECTS

• Design and fabrication of Automatic Page Turner:

The project involved the design and fabrication of a device which is used in turning the page. The device consisted of two DC motors, board and micro processor. KIEL software was used to programme the micro processor. The page turner can be used by people who have mobility problems with the hands and by musicians.
