I have over 5 years of management experience in both union and non-union environments. I am a dedicated worker with a strong attendance record at all my past employments. I have worked in the automotive industry and pick up new skills quickly. I learn fast and am able to work well on my own with little direction AND as a part of a group or team.
EXPERIENCE
Assistant Store Manager, Murray’s Discount Auto, Berwyn, IL 1999-2002
I served many different functions in my roles At Murray’s over the years. Some of these responsibilities entailed Parts Sales, Parts Manager, Operations/Sales Manager, and then Assistant Store Manager. In my time at Murray’s I moved up through management quickly and made myself available to different stores. I did resets and opened two new stores in the chicagoland area making me the youngest manager to ever have keys to a Murray’s store in company history.
Operator/Spotter, Pacific Trailer Repair Services (P.T.R.S.), Bedford Park, IL 2002-2006
I started out as a Spotter and came in on my off time to learn every machine in the yard. I am proficient in every machine that was made available to P.T.R.S. After many years of faithful service, it was apparent that there was no opportunities to advance there, so I made the move to another company offering me career advancements.
Operations Manager/ Terminal Supervisor, H&M International Intermodal INC., Chicago, IL 2006-2009
I managed a shift of between 14 to 25 individuals for both 8 and 12 hour shifts in a union environment. Average lift totals were between 2.7 l.p.h.-3.4 l.p.h., reaching 4.0’s occasionally all while maintaining a respectable driver dwell time. I’ve worked every shift and various split shifts to cover scheduled days off. Average lifts per day were around 1100, with an average of 300-500 on an 8hr shift.
Self Employed from 2009 to Present
I started an entertainment company called Hittmen Entertainment. For a brief time I employed 1 other person as we hosted various parties, weddings, and public events providing entertainment such as live band, Karaoke, Party DJ and so on. While the bar business has taken a major hit due to the economy, I still do weddings and block parties as well as a weekly Karaoke night at a local Brookfield bar.
Service Writer, Metro Motors INC., Cicero, IL 06/27/11 - 05/25/12
I ran a shop with 4 full time mechanics, 2 part time Mechanics, and 1 Body Man. I ordered all parts and wrote up every vehicle for repairs, as well as track down all notes and issues expressed by mechanics, and billed all parts and invoiced them accordingly. I also coordinated the delivery and pickup of all parts and utilized a driver.
