Implemented new technology, significantly expanding market presence. Menu Foods pre-sold a new pouched pet food. Started line, meeting targeted startup within five weeks, vs. the industry standard of twelve weeks. Led to increased sales and delivery for relationship with Wal-Mart.

Increased speed and compliance for new process. President of Morgan Foods wanted high speed filling operation to be more competitive in market place. Partnered with engineering group to attain quality and sanitation standards. Directed QA group to implement best practices. Higher speeds reduced costs and increased profit 25%.

Led quality improvements to national distribution. Morgan’s brine bean costs were high. Met with production and accounting staffs to update production standards. Realized over $2M in reduced costs, bringing in 20% more case volume. Reinforced status as Wal-Mart supplier in a 15-state region.

Developed cost-efficient processes making product competitive. National brand competitor for Morgan Foods removed MSG, promoting product as healthier. Investigated proposal of phased re-formulation with R&D staff. Worked with four suppliers to find best cost solutions. Held increased cost to 15% vs. 20% of competitor.

Significantly reduced recall risks. Allergens were root cause for two product recalls for Morgan. Chaired meetings for discussion and product improvements.
