Built margin analysis tool to improve business decision process. Company did not have tool to assess margin performance by product and market. Built instrument to assign all costs by product by weight, establishing margin by product. Enabled company to re-focus sales, marketing and cost reduction efforts.
Managed quick response to sharply increasing demands. Customers depleted their inventories as cost-saving measure during recession, and needed replacements with short notice to Company. Worked with sales, production and logistics to coordinate production, to meet all deliver schedules and keep customers satisfied.
Transitioned to new materials, retaining key customers. Supplier of single-source key raw material gave last minute notice that product would be discontinued. Developed qualifications plan/identify alternative materials, and worked with technical resources for new recipe. Met with key customers to ease transition, retaining all business.
Negotiated new vendor agreement. As vendor was discontinuing key raw material necessitating move to new material, and raw material costs were skyrocketing, re-opened contract discussions. Negotiated with vendor to pay substantial portion of the qualification costs.
