Qualifications: Includes over 17 years in a variety of concrete and steel construction management, involving:

Extensive experience with day-to-day major construction project management, encompassing skills and responsibilities for staff supervision and training, estimating labor and material costs and subsequent bidding processes, including simultaneously managing multiple sites, projects and vendors/sub-contractors.

A comprehensive background with a broad scope of construction projects ($30k - $10MM) including but not limited to: institutional, (hospitals, schools, etc.) commercial and industrial facilities, (factories, hydro power plants, stadiums, etc.) high rises and municipal infrastructure: ie. roads, spillways, bridges, etc.

Considerable experience with structured steel erection processes, up to 10 stories, including oversight and direction of crane and other heavy lift operators, in addition to safety administration and engineering support functions.

Managing up to 30 employees, including 3 supervisors, with responsibilities for recruitment, interviews, hiring, task assignment, scheduling, new-hire orientation, training, performance evaluations and termination activities.

A noted history of completing projects accurately, on-time and within budgetary constraints.

A proven ability and track record of recognizing sub-standard and/or below code construction and subsequently developing, planning and implementing effective remedial solutions, while substantially reducing costs and waste.

Logistical functions: inventory control and product/supplies ordering, with direct authority for capital expenditures, vendor selection and pricing negotiations.

As a team player, providing substantial input into problem solving and quality assurance initiatives.

Additional Skills

Experience: Effective organizational, interpersonal and communications skills; strong leadership abilities; facilities maintenance, including extensive trade skills; MIG and stick welding; reading blueprints and various engineering drawings; familiarity with WindowsXP/7, MS-Word, Excel, Quick Books Pro, etc.
