Work Experience

4/91 - Present

H&L Tool Company Inc.

Madison Hts, MI

Data Base administrator / System Analysts / Programmer Analysts

Leadership and Team Work

• My role as a data base administrator was to work closely with the solution design team on gathering business requirements from the customer and performing analysis of business processes in order to design an ideal and cost-effective technical design/solution that I would then implement or mentor other developers on implementing.

• Project Manager on various projects including initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing.

• Work as developer, performance engineer, architect, and administrator during on-site consulting engagements in order to perform performance tests on J2EE environments and analyze the results.

Technical Experience

• Performed detail level technical trainings with developers on how to perform Java Code Profiling and overall Performance Tuning on J2EE and client/server Java systems.

• Performed detail level code and overall architectural analysis and tuning on various different J2EE and J2SE applications utilizing technologies like: JMS, Spring, Struts, EJBs, Web Services, Hibernate, Web Logic Portal, and Swing.

• Using the Quest APM suite of J2EE performance tools performed analysis on JMX metrics on application servers, SQL execution metrics on database environments, HTTP and JMS method level call trees, and line level code analysis.

• Performed performance load tests with Load Runner, JMeter, and OpenSTA and performed application server tuning on environments running WebSphere, WebLogic, Glassfish, OC4J, Jboss, and Tomcat with Apache as a web server.

• Performed SQL tuning and RDBMS environments running MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005, Oracle 10g and 11g, as well as DB2.

• Integrated JProbe as code profiler on IDEs like Eclipse, NetBeans, WSAD, RAD, and Weblogic Workshop.

• On a daily basis I worked as a developer implementing customized client-side GUI customizations as well as server side components using Java and J2EE object oriented technologies and designs, including J2EE design patterns. For the client side components we utilized the Eclipse Rich Client framework as to create interface components like new views, buttons, wizards, and general changes to the UI, utilizing the eclipse plug-in architecture of extensions and extension points to implement code changes.

• The server side development required us to utilize the custom communication framework for TCP/IP network communication between the client and server components. The server side implementations utilized the EMF (Eclipse Modeling Framework) to model the business entities within the application, which communicated to a SQL Server or Oracle database using Hibernate ORM (Object to Relational Persistence / Mapping).

• I was also responsible for developing and upgrading standardized processes involved with deployment of code, revision control processes, and communication.

Environment and Technology

• Environment: Windows 2008 Server for Application Server and for Database, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 for RDBMS as well as Oracle 10g
