Objective

I will bring focus, leadership, and enthusiasm to any project, with the best of my ability, and for the best interest of the organization.

Accomplishments

Most recently, I headed the American Archive Content Inventory Project (a comprehensive archive of public radio and television programming to ensure preservation) at WWOZ FM New Orleans. This project single-handedly brought the radio station over $5,000 to help with various community projects such as remote-broadcasts and public service announcements promoting the culture of New Orleans.

As Logistics Manager for Loyola’s Crescent City Radio, my ability to build and maintain business relationships connected the Student Government Association (SGA) and Crescent City Radio, yielding a $3,000 donation from SGA for mutual growth to both organizations.

In the Fall of 2010, I was selected for the American Institute for Foreign Study’s program in London. There I spent three and a half months researching and photographing the various boroughs of London. Shortly thereafter, some of my photos were selected by the owner of London Walks Tour Company for their website.

Communication Skills

My ability to network with people has allowed me to conduct live interviews while hosting my own show on WWOZ FM New Orleans. I’ve also recorded various announcements for WWOZ FM as well as produce two “Street Talk” segments (stories of New Orleans life and culture). I’ve also written an article on the oldest-working musician, Lionel Ferbos, just before his 100th birthday.

Organizational Skills

For the American Archive Inventory Project, I cataloged all of WWOZ FM’s remote-broadcasts from 1993 – 2010 in an easy-to-read digital database.

I’ve also organized over 30 WWOZ FM volunteers to handle various tasks at the 2011 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

While working with Loyola’s Crescent City Radio, my team and I organized multiple live music events.
