An achievement oriented 26 year old designer who has worked on all stages of metal building construction, from providing quotations over the cost of construction, liaising with the engineers, having hands-on experience on assembly, overseeing the development of a metal building from the concrete foundations to the erection of the metal frame, insulation, internal partitioning, and up to the metal panels covering the building. Has collaborated with renowned civil engineers, quality-certified raw material providers, and experienced machinists who produce each piece required for the construction. Has participated in the creation of buildings including: bridges, industrial building, metal frame houses, refrigeration units, and industrial solar panel installations. Single building installations carried out having the full responsibility of the project include a central super market warehouse with of size of 68,000 m2.

Skills:

Studied computer-aided design (CAD) at the 2nd Technical Training College (2nd IEK) in Larisa, Greece, with specialisation in the use of AutoCAD and Advanced Steel computer software. Skilled in the welding of steel, aluminium and metal alloys using manual metal arc (MMA), metal inert gas (MIG), and tungsten inert gas (TIG) up to a thickness of 5 mm. Has participated on seminars regarding the technology and legal aspect governing the metal welding, organised by TUV-Hellas. Supervised steel and construction workers with teams up to 10 workers and 4 engineers. Estimated costs and issued quotations in building projects. Developed the business of a construction company (POHJAS Industrial Installations) for the past four years. Has been the co-owner in this company which employs permanently ten skilled technicians, and is operational for the last 23 years. Carried out internal audits and supplier evaluation audits as an auditor (Holder of certification as Auditor/Lead Auditor on ISO 9001:2008).

Work experience:

Has led a family business (POHJAS Industrial Installations) since 2009 and has worked in various positions from installations to management. One of the buildings constructed has been a 68,000 m2 supermarket warehouse. Worked as a designer in the production of metal structures made ready for installation. The main task of the company (METALODOMIKI S.A. 2008-2009) was the cutting and welding of metal pieces including carrying out the installations, which has been personally supervised. Employed as production supervisor in a construction company (TEMKAT S.A, 2008-2009). One of the constructions supervised has been the building of the ALDI supermarket within the Pantheon Plaza (Larisa, Greece) shopping centre. Worked as supervisor and as installation worker at heights up to 15 meters and has been responsible for enforcing health and safety regulations on many of these projects.
