Electrical Controls Engineer (03/2011 – Present)

Responsible for developing scopes of work, systems operations, electrical and controls designs of equipment utilizing AutoCAD as well as MS Office products and PLC/HMI programming software. This will include the review/red lining of P&ID’s, general arrangement drawings, detail mechanical drawings, and controls ladder diagrams.

• Reviews and assists in the development Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

• Designed, built, and installed a motor control panel with a 15Hp 480-270VAC 3Ph Power Flex 40 Drive (Allen Bradley) and a 30Hp 240-0VAC 3Ph Optidrive Plus (Invertek) to perform a production test for 50Hz 240VAC single & three phase and 50Hz 380 VAC three phase pump products as well as 60Hz 480-120 VAC 3Ph & 1Ph pump products.

• Repaired motor control panel for testing 60 & 50Hz 480-120VAC pump products.

• Designed, built, and installed hydrostatic testing systems using an air-operated-diaphragm pump controlled by air regulator to test pump housings up to 300psi.

• Designed, built, and installed air manifold to supply air and mount the pneumatic air tools used on assembly line.

• Designed ventilation system with 8inch diameter flexible duct and explosion proof blower to draw and exhaust harmful gases away from assembly station.
