Sr. Programmer Analyst

• Lead Programmer Analyst and developer of the in-house CICS GOLD (General Business On-Line Database System) On Line real time system. Project leader for the GOLD system managing 5 programmers. Utilized Cobol, CICS, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, Easytrieve, JCL, JCL Procs (with symbolics), Intertest, Mapr, OS/Syncsort and IBM Utilities as development tools. Gathered user requirements for the development of the CICS GOLD (General Business Online Database System) on-line database system to replace the batch process that was being utilized to update the Einstein policy file and employee SHV information. Designed all database files as well as on line screens and the functionality of the security. Insured that the system was expandable and maintained the integrity of data via an audit file and expedited the turnaround time for updating policy batch files.

• Recommended the purchase of Intertest (CICS debugging tool) and Mapr (CICS screen development tool) to improve application and programmer productivity. Trained employees how to code in the CICS environment and supervised the implementation of program modules and files to the subsystems under GOLD and migration to production.

• Responsible for Payroll Support, Pension Reporting System, Budget System, General Ledger Interface System, Employee Benefits Interface, Variance Online/Batch System and developing solutions for the Payroll department in a mainframe environment. Utilized Cobol, CICS, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, Easytrieve, JCL, JCL Procs (with symbolics), FTP, OS/Syncsort and IBM Utilities.

• Primary IT client services liaison for Payformance Application which allowed payroll to generate pay checks. Designed, tested and implemented the interface between Payformance and GEAC as well as coordinating user acceptance and generating audit reports to insure data integrity.
