Redesigned man-rated Climbing Davit and Veil system and supporting structures for 1180 Peachtree, which had functional and fatigue issues. Modeled new equipment using Inventor and prepared manufacturing drawings Coordinated with both production of equipment with mechanical, electrical subcontractors, and provide instructions for installation subcontractor. Analyzed structure using classical and FEA for weight/balance, stress/fatigue and compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Prepared O&M manuals.

Control Products Corporation, Grand Prairie, TX - Rectified and corrected five (5) types of aircraft simulator trainer sheet metal/structural steel enclosures and consoles. Designed the next generation of flight deck under tight schedule. Performed stress and vibration analysis of structure. Performed MES analysis of simulated control surfaces.
Lockhead Martin, Grand Prairie, TX - Created new Pro-E parts and assemblies for an improved HIMARS loading system. Worked closely with HIMARS team members on integration and stress issues. Designed parts on PAC-3 missile and PAC-3 ordinance test fixture.

Used FEA to optimize rigidity versus weight for trolley frame. Enhanced a unique four bar linkage mechanism. Evaluated tolerance stackups, corrosion, wear, and heat treat processes for mechanism. Designed and supervised construction of three accelerated life cycle test fixtures, two of which were PLC controlled. Lockheed – Martin VAFB CA - Lead development of fluid system simulation programs for the multiple types of Space Shuttle ground fluid systems. Extensive component fluid modeling for incorporation into system models. Performed coupled stress/thermal/fluid analysis. Member of Tiger Team at VAFB for SS system, Shuttle return to flight and Titan 34D event. Received numerous awards for contributions to successful resolution of problems. Air Force canceled project of flying Military payloads from VAFB on Space Shuttle due to Challenger Disaster.
TRW Mission, Houston, TX. Project R&D Engineer
Researched and developed downhole drilling tools powered by pneumatics and hydraulics.
Created math models, which considered mechanical motion and internal flow in passages and external flow, to optimize drilling tool performance, Created design drawings, oversaw construction of protoypes. Performed tests to correlate predictions to operational performance. Wrote technical reports detailing project progress. Solved stress wave failures in drill bits. Conducted measurements using computer controlled data acquisition multiplexers and digital oscilloscopes.
