Term paper on TCP performance over wireless links Feb 2011

• A study on the various mechanisms on the improvement of TCP over wireless links.

• TCP E2E algorithm, LRED technique, SNOOP protocol, packet salvaging in DSR protocol and WENP were the mechanisms discussed and their performances were evaluated and compared.

Concurrent Simulation Platform for Energy-Aware Smart Metering Systems April 2011

• Simulated the above IEEE paper using C++

• A secure network solution for the substation to integrate Internet Protocol (IP)- based communications with the power grid for intelligent grid monitoring and control was discussed.

Design of Decoders April 2011

• Design of a Decoder using MATLAB to decode the product code in the IEEE paper ‘A Primer on Turbo Code Concepts’.

• Designing a LPDC decoder using MATLAB.

• To conduct SYN flooding attacks, RST attacks and TCP session hijacking and develop countermeasures to resist such attacks.
