Recruited to complete the transition from QS9000 to TS16949 from start to finish in 4 months. We were registered by Intertek on time with 3 minor nonconformance’s. I was tasked with developing supplier rating, new supplier qualification and corrective action. I created a Cost of Poor Quality/Supplier Quality database now used by two plants including the Accounting functions. Supplier rejections were reduced by 32% process efficiency increased and my process model was adopted by 2 sister plants with similar results.

J&M Precision Machining Inc. Blanchester, Ohio

Responsible for the daily management of Quality Assurance department, two full time and one part time hourly employees for a Tier 1 Supplier of gear and bearing blanks to the Automotive Industry. Quality Control Manager 9/25/01-5/17/04

Responsible for the daily supervision of Quality Control Department, Customer Liaison, Internal Audits and Maintenance of the Quality Management System for Aerospace Heat-Treating, Hard Surfacing and Brazing Facility.

• The Nadcap certification was in danger of being canceled due to numerous unresolved nonconformances from the preceding yearly surveillance audit. With less than two months before the next scheduled audit, I authored a new quality manual based on ISO9002/1994 and revised all relevant operation procedures to the aerospace standard. The audit was so successful that the registrar (PRI) awarded Wall Colmonoy a reduced frequency schedule for surveillance audits with the next audit due in three years. This represents an annual savings of $10,000.00

• I have prepared a new quality management system compliant to ISO9001/2000, and AS9100 Rev B for the aerospace industry. This new system was completed in four months and received a perfect score when audited by Eagle Registrations of Dayton, Ohio.

• Developed and implemented in-house gauge calibration saving $1,000 per year.

Production Manager 9/25/01-5/17/04

Planning jobs and scheduling, coordination the movement of work and personnel. Work directly with customers in scheduling production, coordination delivery schedules and shipping requirements. Maintain inventories, plant and equipment maintenance and personnel training.

• Developed a shop order system superior to the one being considered for purchase saving $20,000.00

• Replaced their manual Production Control system with an MRP that I created based on the Microsoft Office Pro suite, which resulted in reduced data entry and man hours equaling $95,000 per year.
