RELATED ENVIRONMENTAL WORK
COMPLIANCE MANAGER: Responsible for daily regulatory compliance and overall management of the BP Land Treatment Facility. Responsibilities included reviewing analytical data of incoming waste for compliance of permit and insuring that all operating aspects of the 165 acre facility maintained compliance with permit, which was one of numerous daily activities that were overseen.
SOIL: Environmental technician for projects which involved collection of soil samples from borings to determine hydrocarbon content and concentration of heavy metals. Also conducted the investigation of potential polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB’s) contamination of soils. The scope of work included soil borings, soil sampling and installation of monitoring wells.
GROUNDWATER: Responsible for operation and maintenance of remediation systems, which recovered gasoline and hydrocarbon vapors from the ground water and impacted soil. Assisted in field tests to determine aquifer characteristics, with the installation of ground water monitoring and recovery wells, and with the installation of soil and ground water remediation systems. Responsible for operation and maintenance of approximately multiple ground water pump and treat systems, Vapor Extraction Systems (VES), and sparging remediation systems.
CONSTRUCTION REMEDIATION: Supervised daily field activities of large scale excavation and remediation project for the City of Houston Ball Park at Union Station. Responsible for oversight of several construction and excavation crews operating simultaneously.
PIPELINE: Tracking of various pipeline tools, also oversaw launching and trapping.
Power Plant: I have experience with the operation and maintenance of cooling towers and associated auxiliaries. I have years of experience making rounds on equipment and in outlaying areas such as sump pumps and sewage treatment. I am familiar with circulating water pumps and water treatments.
