Responsible for all automotive and industrial market segments of a European Semiconductor manufacturer who had almost no presence or sales in the markets of North America. After two years of activity annual sales were $2 million. Annual sales were projected for the fifth year and tenth years to be $10 million and $50 million respectively. Position had one direct report, which was the Manager of Applications Engineering. Managed the North American sales rep firms, which handled day to day sales activities.

Position had responsibility for all sales activities with Ford Motor Company in North America. Initiated product development for a new family of electromechanical / electronic modules that would provide an additional product group. For these products, I had sales responsibility for all North American customers. Also had responsibility to identify and report to management trends and changes in the automotive industry in regards to customers and competitors.

Position had P&L responsibility for all switch products being developed for Ford Motor Co. Cross functional team reported jointly to this position and the functional manager. Led headlamp product team to the turn around of a new product development program. A profit improvement of $20 million was projected over the first five years of production.

Asian Business Development Manager, Auburn Hills, MI (1991-1992)
Reported to the General Manager, Asia. Main role was the creation of marketing studies in regards to the sale of products in Asia and to act as the North American liaison for the Asian office located in Tokyo, Japan.

Reported to the President of a joint venture between Bendix and Dae Sung, which was located in Ichon, Korea. Spent Approximately 32 weeks in Korea over three years. Acted as liaison between Bendix Divisions and the joint venture in terms of technology transfer and North American purchasing.

Also directed an Interdepartmental Team to reach divisional goal of 100% on time ISIR submissions.
