Airborne at Ft. Bragg, N.C. Primary provider in a Family Practice clinic seeing ages
2 days to 98 years old. All aspects of patient care including treatment of wounded re-
turning soldiers. Many involving pain management and indepth treatments. Also, family
members requiring treatment for all aspects of medical care. Procedures included I & D,
suturing, splinting, trigger point, IV therapy, and injections.
1996 -2005 Internal Medicine Group of Winter Haven, Fl. Primary care provider in a private
Internal Medicine practice consisting of 4 physicians and 1 P.A. Involved in all
aspects of patient care including detailed history and physicals, development of
treatment plans, prescribibg of medications, ordering and interpretation of labor-
atory tests and diagnostic studies. Also, in office surgical procedures and Gyn exams.
1993-1996 Sentara Health System/JSA Norfolk, Va./Virginia Beach. Primary care provider in a fam-
ily practice ambulatory care clinic. Duties included evaluation and treatment of
patients from infant to adult, including Well Baby check ups, ghynecological exams,
suturing, fracture setting and minor emergencies. Daily load 30-50 pt/12h shft,, 75%
being Pediatrics.
1988-1993 PHP Healthcare Corp. NAVCARE, Virginia Beavh, VA. Primary care provider in a military depen-
dent ambulatory care setting. Responsibilities included evaluation and treatment of
patients of all ages. Very busy clinic with 10 providers seeing 450-500 patients in a
12 hour day. Majority of care for ages infant to 18 years old.
1987-1988 Cuba Hospital, Cuba, N.Y. Chief Physician Assistant in P.A. staffed E.D. Responsible for
direct supervision of P.A. staff for 24 hour coverage of the ED. No in house Physician
coverage available. Duties included all clinical aspects of the ED as well as all admini-
strative responsibilities including Quality Assurance, Disaster Committee, Infection Control
and Risk Management. Chaired with 2 physicians to establish and staff hospital based sa-
tellite clinics in surrounding townships.
1986-1987 PHP Healthcare Corp.-PRIMUS, Woodbridge, VA Primary care clinic for military dependents
with a patient load of 350-400 a day for 8-9 providers. Responsibilities included evalua-
tion and treatment of adult and pediatric patients, ordering and interpreting labs, EKG's
and x-rays, prescribibg medications, minor trauma, minor surgical procedures and extensive
patient education and counseling.
1983-1986 A.O.Fox Memorial Hospital Sole physician assistant for 130 bed nursing home with 1 medical
director in house 1-2 hours every AM. Duties included daily care and management of patients
as well as employee health for 200 staff members. Served as chairperson for the Continuous
Medical Evaluation Committee dealing with and instituting studies of problems concerning the
facility and the residents. Established a Drug Reduction Program with the Hospital pharma-
cist. Coordinatedand implemented an inservice program for the nursing staff of the nursing
home.
