Caldwell Community College’s Truck Driver Training Program provides a 320 hour course intended to instruct students in the transportation industry’s driving requirements. This course offers students the opportunity to learn various aspects of trucking including maintaining log books, completing a pre-trip inspection, driving, trip planning and reading maps, atlas, backing and maneuvering a tractor-trailer through traffic, in turns, on grades and in nearly every situation that might be encountered while driving OTR. The program is certified by the DOT and provides students with a very good foundation for building a career in truck driving.
