Manage staff of 8 IT professionals.

Phase one: Manage deployment of 812 Panasonic CF-30 laptops, and AT&T Airlink C3310 modems to five (5) Metro Service Centers (Fort Worth, Lake Dallas, Mesquite, Arlington, and Farmers Branch).

Phase two: Manage deployment of 1,127 Panasonic CF-30 laptops, and AT&T Airlink C3310 modems to fourteen (14) Non-Metro Service Centers (Lufkin, Midland, Tyler, Waco, Wichita Falls, etc.).

Phase three: Manage deployment of 418 Panasonic CF-30 laptops, and AT&T Airlink C3310 modems for all contract services (Metro and Non-Metro Service Centers.

Manager – Technical Services May 2000 – May 2007

Mannatech Inc. Coppell, Texas

Manage staff of 28 IT professionals. Staff includes four leads supporting LAN/WAN, Database, Telcom and Desktop support. Support corporate office, Call Center, Distribution, and all International Sites on a 24 x 7 basis.

WAN equipment consists of fifteen (15) Cisco routers (Models 3845 and 3745), thirteen (13) Cisco switches (6500 series), and eleven (11) PIX firewalls (Models 525 and 515).

LAN equipment consists of two hundred and seventy (270) HP servers (Proliant DL385, DL585, DL575, and BL465 Blade), HP EVA 10,000 SANS (2), and EMC Clarion CX500 (2) SANS, and Dell workstations (865). All databases are Microsoft SQL. Telecom equipment is Avaya.

Established policy/procedures for reorganization of IT Department based on ITIL guidelines including security policies, procedures/standards for hardware and software purchases. Implemented “Track IT” software for desk top support and Asset Management. Procedures to reflect requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI compliancy allowed the company to process MasterCard and Visa credit card accounts.

Planned and implemented IT budget for the past six years. Average budget of 6-8 million dollars annually. Supporting approved projects with hardware and software purchases, maintenance, and license contracts. Evaluated SLA with 3rd party vendors. This reduced overall cost by an average of 26% per year.

Designed, configured, maintained International sites including installation of data centers, routers, switches, PBX systems, redundant circuits, call centers, and store fronts. Sites were established in Australia, Asia (Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia), Europe (Great Britain, Germany and Denmark). Establishments of these sites generated an increase in sales of 40%.

Designed, installed, and maintained Disaster Recovery site. Disaster Recovery site supports core applications for business continuity. Reduced cost of site implementation by rotating servers to DR site when production servers are replaced. Includes SAN environment which supports all production databases. DR site is designed to be fully operational within 2 hours of a declared disaster at corporate office.

Renegotiated telecommunication contracts for call center and International sites. Converted frame to VPN for a cost savings of over 2 million dollars annually, while increasing processing speed for international sites by 60%. Established VOIP to all International sites, allowing Mannatech to save over $300,000.00 per year in Long Distance calls.

Planned and implemented IT budget average budget of 1-2 million annually. Supporting approved projects, hardware and software purchases, maintenance and license contracts. Evaluated SLA with 3rd party vendors. This reduced overall cost by an average of 6% per year.

Designed and installed entire LAN/WAN network. This included corporate site and 11 regional offices (Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Kansas City, Charlotte etc). Network had to be re-built due to licensing fines totaling 2 million dollars in fines from Microsoft. Fines reduced to $250,000.00 if compliant within 90 days. Project completed in 86 days.
