Resume:

Mainframe Developer with extensive experience in crafting and maintaining complex applications for large-scale, multinational operations across multiple platforms such as OS390 Mainframe, Unix, Terradata and Oracle servers. Leverages expertise in process design and code optimization as well as comprehensive technical proficiencies to mentor peak performing teams and empower business/revenue objectives. Well versed in system development life cycle (SDLC).

Saved warehouse operating costs and saved $100M in on-hand inventory by overhauling the sales forecast process, tracking and applying seasonal influence on weekly predictions to strengthen accuracy to 97%. This was developed in Cobol, using Datacom databases.

Optimized run time for customer sales reports from 18 hours to 90 minutes and accelerated customer startup time through process redesign. This was accomplished by removing the internal sorts within the Cobol programs and implementing external sorts, via SyncSort. This allowed the process to only read the Datacom tables once per occurrence.

Created a purchasing application based on projected service level to the customer, increasing client satisfaction and decreasing inventories levels; enabled lucrative contract renegotiations and extensions. Using a Projected Demand Datacom database, a dynamic JCL job stream, cutting edge Cobol programs, and CICS Jsub programs, I was able to create this application.

Revamped the invoice matching process for Accounts Payable, elevating accuracy and eliminating duplicate vendor payments. By reverse engineering the current Cobol/CICS/JCL/Datacom application, I was able to retrofit the process using multiple data points to increase the matching accuracy.
