In charge of the construction of custom homes and remodels in the North Lake Tahoe area. My involvement was from site layout and protection, forming and pouring the foundations, layout and frame, set all windows and doors all the way thru trim and finish till turn-key. Meet with the inspectors and pass all inspections. Other responsibilities include managing the other carpenters and labors, meeting with the other subs and my boss to keep up with any changes as we go. Make material lists and fore see any concerns before they arise. We also erected Wedge Core Steal Buildings. I also operate fork lifts and back hoes and have lots of experience working with all types of cranes setting timber and steal beams, trusses, etc. Had a great opportunity to do some really nice woodworking in some multi-million dollar lake front and lake view homes.

1984-1999 Casino Dealer

Dealt Craps and Blackjack, This was a great opportunity to hone customer service skills. I believe these skills are valuable when dealing with customers concerns on their projects. Communication is key. Began dealing in Las Vegas, California Hotel and then to the Golden Nugget then moved to Lake Tahoe, CA and started at Harvey’s casino then moved up to the Hyatt in Incline Village. Great opportunity to meet lots of interesting people and cater to their needs.

1983-1984 Apartment Manager/Maintenance

managed a 36 unit complex. Responsibilities were to collect rents clean and repair apartments and maintain grounds.

1978-1982 Carpenter

I worked for Rodgers Const. who worked for Hospital Corp. of America. We built hospitals, Utah, New Mexico, Nevada. Lot of rebar and conc., Metal studs and fireproofing. Great learning experience

1976-1978 Carpenter

Started in construction in Santa Clara, CA building Block after block of track homes and apartment complexes. Was in the carpenters union local 316

1975-1976 Cook/Dishwasher

My second job, started out as a dishwasher and watch and worked my way over to cook. Then the head cook left and I became head cook.

1975 Stock-boy

My first real job, Stocking shoes at Kinney’s Shoes store.

Graduated Wilcox High School in 1976 Santa Clara, California

I played sports all thru my school years, soccer, track, diving.

Solar PV design and installation classes, received Interstate Renewable

Energy Council (IREC) certification in 2009

Take classes at the local community college when I can

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

From 1993 to 1998 I coached soccer. I think coaching is great experience for manager skills.

Raised 4 excellent children and remodeled two homes along the way
