Made immediate, dramatic improvements in the overall quality and consistency of food. Worked collaboratively to create changes and additions to the menu.
Bread & Butter Café, Portland – Short Order Grill Cook (2004-2006)
Anchored the kitchen staff, helping to allow the owners the necessary bandwidth to develop their lunchtime catering business. Fostered positive relationships with an extremely diverse customer base.
Pasta Bangs, Portland - Line Cook (2003-2004)
Worked closely with both the owner and the chef to streamline kitchen operations. Helped train and supervise at-risk youth in order to provide them with valuable on-the-job experience.
Produce Row Café, Portland – Assistant Manager (1999-2003)
In addition to my everyday duties (opening the kitchen, training, troubleshooting, menu contributions, etc.) I also organized and promoted a series of outdoor film screenings that made a success of historically lackluster Sunday evenings.
