Wireless Mesh Network
• Designed and simulated a routing protocol on OSPF based Wireless Mesh Networks with air time metric as its performance metric.
Eigen face based Facial Detection
• Developed a facial detection software using MATLAB by weighing the difference between a given facial image and a mean image generated from a predefined facial database.
IMail
• An intelligent email client that understands user‘s behavior, priorities and ranks the emails based upon statistics like sender criticality and content criticality.
• Developed the content analysis engine in Java to determine content criticality.
Networking Lab
• Configured Cisco routers for the use of static routing and LAN switching.
• Implemented TCP Flow control and Congestion control in department’s network in Red Hat Linux.
Middleware
• Created a middleware for UCI’s SATWARE multimedia information system which will buffer and display multiple image streams from different sensors in a time synchronized fashion.
Database Management Systems
• Participated in the design process of a DBMS system for SATWARE project.
• Implemented an efficient indexing scheme for retrieving tuples from the database server.
OpenSSH
• Implemented OpenSSH in Ubuntu Linux which encrypts all traffic (including passwords) to effectively eliminate eavesdropping, connection hijacking, and other attacks on a LAN of 15 PCs.
• Secured tunneling capabilities and authentication methods through OpenSSH which supports all SSH protocol versions.
