About the project:
3 Indonesia (Hutch) is a Telecom service provider company based in Indonesia dealing in Mobile and data products. Their market share is increasing very rapidly and generation large volume of data every day. The current reporting system was developed on Oracle database but theres no warehouse system available yet. We are developing, managing and maintaining a new DWH system which can handle their large volume of data more effectively and faster based on the GreenPlum MPP database (Massively parallel processing) and the server us based on Suse Unix platform for ETL we are using Datastage 8.1 parallel edition. Oracle is the base database for their source billing system. We need to design totally new system which should able to cater to their existing MIS requirement as well as future needs with a very quick urnaround time..
Responsibilities in this project include:
Requirements and Analysis: Understanding the business requirement from the users and articulate them into technical details so that offshore team can do the task.
Develop the ETL framework so that requirements like notifications, performance, metadata, logging, flexibility, re-useability can be met effectively.

About the project:
Gaurdian Life (Park Avenue securities) is a financial company based in NewYork dealing in financial products like mutual fund, shares, securities, bonds etc. Client has an application called “BARS” which they consider as their IT backbone but since it was developed long time back it used VB6 and SQL server 2000 for it development. Now due to the growing business and new technologies requirement they want the project to re-architecture based using n-tier architecture for the application. The application also constituted of lot of file processing jobs which they are planning of migrates to SSIS as it will provide superior performance and maintainability over the application. Thus we need to design totally new application which should provide all the functionalities provided by the existing system build using .NET and SSIS.
Responsibilities in this project include:
Requirements and Analysis: Understanding the current application from code as there is no documentation available.
Redesign the architecture of the file processing unit and designing the new framework so that requirements like notifications, performance, metadata, logging, flexibility, re-useability can be met.
The biggest challenge in the design is that currently there is a common framework for the online application as well as the file processing. But we need to identify the components which are commonly used need to be moved to dll files so that they can be used by both the components of the application.

This project was meant to be developed for Hanover’s mediclaim business with member health. In this project we need to design a datawarehouse in which we can load not only member health‘s data but it should also be able to load the data for any other client doing similar business with Hannover. Thus we first did the study of Part-D mediclaim business in USA and then designed a generic framework so that the similar data analysis can be done for every client

Claims will enable Hannover’s management to evaluate actual claim data with various industry standards on mortality data. It loads industry standards in the claims data mart and then evaluates the actual claims data for different clients with the industry standards. This project enables Hannover’s with an automated process of evaluating client’s data with industry standards and generates mortality study reports.
Claims project stores various industry standards data and client’s data in a data mart and this serves as source for reports. This helps organization in following ways:
Single version of truth as data is maintained in a single place
Compare mortality data on various industry standards
Generate reports based on various parameters
Consistent “Dashboard” style reporting
Flexibility of obtaining reports on special requirement with minimum efforts
Responsibilities in this project include:
Understanding the business Requirements and the claims business.
Designing the generic datamodel to support faster absorption of new clients and enable reporting. Previously it was a manual process and required 2-3 months for data analysis and report creation but after the development of this project it will require less than a weeks time.

This project was made for a dummy client named XYZ investments, which is a mutual fund company and had a large client base over Europe. Their current system was running on flat file system (excel file) and a scattered management over the locations.
We implemented a data warehouse in Oracle9i database as a centralized repository for their data by using tool called Informatica and designed a reporting environment (universe) in Business Object. Thus centralized their administration task over the locations and have a better management over their business
