Summary :
Over 12 years experience in all areas of construction management and knowledgable in all phases of construction with the experience of working in federal, government, tx-dot, city and commercial and residential dirt ground-up projects. Skills include heavy equipment operating, surveying, asphalt milling and placing, all kinds of dirt excavation, all types of concrete placement, installation of utilities, clearing, striping, detention pond/filtration, earth channels, and complete site development. Able to read and interpret plans and specifications with computer and excellent organization skills.
Duties:
Communicating and following Human Resources, equipment and Construction Management manual policies and procedures. Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding perimeters. Coordinates and cooperates with other superintendents and the customer to implement successful project planning. Supervises, maintains communication and mentors/coaches field managers. Assists field managers in the management process of crews. Participate as required with the in-house pre-construction planning procedure development of the project schedule. Encourage and promotes teaming, motivation, people development, the collaborative way and retention with crew members. Interprets and monitors cost reports. Review job costs with project manager and foremen. Attend monthly job cost meetings. Administer timely and accurate paperwork/documentation for project related activities to include: change orders, purchase orders and payroll. Participate in the pre construction meeting with the owner or the owner representative. Attend and give input to weekly schedules with the project manager, as required. Coordinate with operations on the project needs for equipment and labor. Assist in preparing estimates for payment. Manage suppliers and sub-contractors, to ensure safety, profit, scheduling and customer satisfaction. Make every effort not to have any punch list items. Complete all punch list items in a timely matter. Employ best practices in planning and organizing work to maximize potential crew productivity and maximizing equipment utilization levels by ensuring availablilty and operator effectiveness. Ensure customer satisfaction in all customer and inspector relations and interactions. Interprets and monitors crew costs reports and crew cost factors. Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of proper personnel. Travel to and from field sites, monitoring status of project. Confer with project personnel to provide technical advise and to resolve problems. Perform third party QA/QC observations in respect to large and small projects. Manage of sub-contractors, employees, direct interface with clients. Extensive employee management/training experience. Including hiring and terminating of employment, conflict resolution, equipment operation instruction and administrative duties, including payroll, budgeting, safety inspections, daily crew logs, report time management and crew coordination, Responsible for safety management and equipment inspections to ensure safe use and practices. Coduct the preparatory weekly construction update orientation meetings with sub-contractors. Conduct inventories of materials, anticipated needs and requirements and continually coordinate with project manager for uninterrupted flow of materials to maintain the work schedule.
